CVEFeed.io Vulnerability CVE Alerts

Overview
Details
This add-on integrates with CVEFeed.io to automatically ingest vulnerability alerts (CVEs) into Splunk. It provides real-time visibility into product-specific security advisories, enabling security teams to monitor, search, and correlate CVE alerts alongside their existing data for faster threat detection and response.

Got it 👍 Here’s an updated Details section that highlights vulnerability type and remote exploitability fields for prioritization:

Details

The Splunk Add-on for CVEFeed.io enables seamless integration of product-specific vulnerability alerts (CVEs) directly into Splunk. By connecting to the CVEFeed.io API, the add-on continuously fetches and normalizes security advisories so they can be used within Splunk for monitoring, correlation, and alerting.

With this add-on, security and IT teams can:

  • Automatically collect CVE alerts related to their products and vendors.
  • Enrich Splunk searches, dashboards, and correlation rules with up-to-date vulnerability intelligence.
  • Gain deeper context with enriched fields such as vulnerability type, exploitability (remote/local), and severity, enabling better prioritization of remediation efforts.
  • Detect potential risks by correlating CVE alerts with internal asset, log, and event data.
  • Improve incident response by prioritizing threats based on product exposure and exploitability.

The add-on is designed to work seamlessly with Splunk Enterprise and Splunk Enterprise Security, enabling organizations to gain proactive visibility into vulnerabilities that matter to their environment.

Do you also want me to draft a Features section in bullet points (easier for Splunkbase readers) or keep only this narrative style?
