Mailchimp Add-on for Splunk - Important Upgrade Instructions
The Mailchimp Add-on for Splunk facilitates seamless integration with Mailchimp, allowing users to retrieve valuable insights via API calls. This includes data on Campaigns, Audience, Reports and Account Detail.
These data sets are instrumental in creating informative dashboards and triggering alerts within your Splunk environment.
Get Activation Key for New Features:
To unlock the latest features, including enhanced analytics and reporting capabilities, obtain your activation key from Avotrix. This key will enable you to access advanced functionalities and optimize your Mailchimp integration within Splunk
Fresh Install:
It is advised to perform a fresh install of this version. This means that you should uninstall any older versions of the Mailchimp Add-on for Splunk that you may have in your environment before installing this UCC Framework-based version.
Installation & Configuration:
Splunk Enterprise System Requirements:
• This Add-on runs on Splunk Enterprise, adhering to all Splunk Enterprise system requirements.
Deployment Guide:
• Single Instance (8.X):(Pre-requisite) Mailchimp Addon for Splunk
• Distributed Deployment (8.x):
o Heavy Forwarder: Mailchimp Addon for Splunk
o Search Head: Mailchimp Addon for Splunk
Configuration for Inputs:
Deploy Apps and Addons following the Deployment Guide provided
1. Go to Configuration >> Add Activation Key.
2. Navigate to Configuration >> Proxy >> add proxy settings (if applicable). Note: The proxy server must have SSL enabled.
3. Navigate to Configuration >> Account >> Add >> Account Name, API Key, URL.
4. Go to Inputs >> Create New Inputs >> Add Inputs.
5. Create the inputs to fetch logs from the Mailchimp API.
6. Provide Global account (as per the added Account).
7. Create/Select the Index for log ingestion.
8. Once inputs are created and data is flowing, the Data Feed Health Check Dashboard will reflect the status.
