Overview

Details

AES is an Azure Logic App that consumes events from Azure Event Hubs and sends to Splunk Enterprise or Splunk Cloud using HEC. This will be helpful in facilitating analysis of common types of Azure log files or metrics.
There are two methods by which logs can be ingested: as individual events persisted into the Event Hub Partition(s) or in batches when a number of events have built up over time or quantity.

AES Features
● Send events from Azure Event Hub(s) and associated Partition(s) to Splunk Enterprise or Splunk Cloud.
● Splunk can consume to any type of raw Event Hub message.
● Modular Azure configuration supports near real-time or batched messages requirements to Splunk.
● Provides a lightweight Splunk data ingestion solution for Azure Event Hubs using native Azure services.
● No custom Splunk Add-ons required; using Splunk’s API end point architecture; HTTP Event Consumer (HEC).
● HTTP protocol allows for standard Layer 7 firewall rules.

Version 1.1 (released August 11, 2022) features released
● Based on customer feedback the userguide has been amended to desribe the Azure Log App setup versus supplying pre-configured json files.
